In 2018, the bond market in Georgia activated significantly. Overall, 10 companies have made 15 emissions of 714 million GEL, out of which 12 emissions were made by the public offering and the other 3 – by the private offering.
The annual report of NBG states, that in 2018 the total volume of bonds issued by the public offering increased 6.6 times and amounted to 663 million GEL. From this, the volume of bonds issued by the offering of International Financial Institutes were 458 million GEL.
In 2018, the volume of debt security bonds denominated in GEL was also increased and amounted to 75% of the total bonds.
