In 2018, the average monthly income of Georgian population (cash and non-cash) amounted to 1,187.2 million GEL, which is by 0.5% higher compared to 2017. According to the National Statistics department, the average monthly income (cash and non-cash) amounted to 1,123.5 GEL per household and 318.3 GEL per person.
The significant share in cash income and transfers structure – 49.7% falls to income from hired workers and 11.4% to self-employed people, 17.9% – to pensions, scholarships, different allowances and donations (9.0%).
As for the expenses, the average monthly expenditure per household is 1,102 GEL and 312.2 GEL per person.
A significant share in the structure of consumer expenditures – 37.4% is accounted for food, drinks and tobacco.
