Today Bolt, the largest scooter operator in Europe, is launching scooters\u2019 service in the streets of Tbilisi, which is the first city in Georgia, where the company will launch this service.<\/p>\n
From Friday, August 16th, people living or visiting Tbilisi will have the option to move around the city on Bolt scooters. Bolt is known for providing affordable and sustainable scooter services with safety as a top priority.<\/p>\n
Valerii Romanov, Regional Manager for Bolt Rentals said<\/strong>: \u201cWe are grateful to the city of Tbilisi for the trust shown in Bolt, and we look forward to starting our work together to shape responsible micromobility riding habits in the years to come, and we are looking forward to providing affordable shared scooters to our customers. Before the first ride, every customer needs to register on our platform, and must be at least 18 years old to do that. Our advanced GPS system controls how our scooters are parked and ridden to ensure that everyone on the streets is safe. Our scooters have an electronic speed limit of 20 km\/h, which means speeding is not an option, even when they go downhill. On top of that, we agreed with the city that we will impose a low-speed zone in areas like parks or public administration neighbourhoods, which will further limit scooter speed to 12 km\/h automatically.\u201d<\/p>\n Along with the fleet of scooters, Bolt will also launch a suite of safety features as part of SafeRide System and parking features as a part of Smart Parking 360 in Tbilisi. Bolt will also\u00a0 ensure its scooters are parked responsibly by introducing an AI parking system, which will analyse photos taken by customers when they finish their scooter ride, and provide them with parking tips if they have not parked appropriately.<\/p>\n How to correctly use a Bolt scooter?<\/strong><\/p>\n Using Bolt scooters is extremely easy, but it is recommended to follow general safety and responsible riding guidelines:<\/p>\n Bolt will operate in Tbilisi with a scooter model which has been optimized for safety, sustainability and user experience.
