Rachna Nath<\/span><\/a> stands at the crossroads of education and technology, creating pathways for students and teachers to thrive in a rapidly changing world. From founding <\/span>DRIPBL<\/span><\/a> (Dream Research Innovate Problem\/Project Based Learning) to her latest venture, <\/span>TeachSavvy<\/span><\/a>, she has emerged at a pivotal moment where the global education system needs an additional 44 million teachers by 2030 to achieve universal primary and secondary education.<\/span><\/p>\n

Driven by her experiences as an educator, DRIPBL tackles curiosity driven students through an individually catered nine month Student Incubator promoting problem solving, critical thinking, communication, innovation, entrepreneurship skills, mindset changes and empowerment. The International Science and Engineering Fair (<\/span>ISEF<\/span><\/a>) at Columbus Ohio 2025, was a testament of her perseverance and dedication as 100 percent of her students mentored won at that level competing with over 1650 students across 66 different countries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, TeachSavvy tackles systemic challenges in teacher development through personalized profiling and AI-driven professional growth with targeted self and peer evaluations.<\/span><\/p>\n

From India to America: A Path of Persistence<\/span><\/h2>\n

Born in Northeast India, Rachna Nath often felt like the “misplaced child” at school, constantly asking questions and seeking unconventional solutions. This curiosity led her to pursue science, despite cultural expectations to become a doctor or engineer, for which she was ridiculed and labeled a “failure.” After completing her first master’s degree, she moved to the United States in 2003, where she faced significant career hurdles. Years later, she earned another master\u2019s degree in Biology from Arizona State University, specializing in honeybee research.<\/span><\/p>\n

After struggling to complete her PhD due to her professor leaving for Germany, Rachna’s persistence eventually led her to a role as a science teacher at Arizona College Prep High School in Chandler. There, she discovered her ability to inspire students to think differently. Recognized as a TIME Innovative Teacher, she also received the Global Innovation Award from Turnitin and was honored with the Presidential Award for Environmental Educators in Innovation. Rachna\u2019s work has significantly reshaped educational narratives. In March 2025, <\/span>The Indian Eye<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Mahabahu<\/span><\/a> featured her as a “Visionary Educator” who has <\/span>“carved an extraordinary path as one of the most influential STEM educators of our time.”<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

DRIPBL: Empowering Students to Become Inventors<\/span><\/h2>\n

In 2018, Rachna launched an after-school program that evolved into DRIPBL. Starting with three students, it expanded into a year-long class for students interested in research and innovation, teaching them to solve real-world problems, obtain research patents, and secure grants for prototypes. The results speak loudly: nine students with patents, eleven pending patents, three startups, $178,540 in grants, and $16.8 million in scholarships. Students have invented devices like Wi-Fi signal amplifiers, hats designed to prevent heatstroke, eco-friendly alternatives to plastics, using water cups made of fruit peels to solve issues of malnutrition, and many more.<\/span><\/p>\n

One student, Siyaa Poddar, reflected: <\/span>“Mrs. Nath has been an amazing teacher and has introduced all of her students to the wide variety of potential we have as high schoolers! She has taught us about problem solving and project development, and I would\u2019ve never considered a concept like patenting an idea without her help. Mrs. Nath believes in her students and pushes us to give our best, offering advice and feedback. Her guidance and commitment to each of us make her the best mentor, and I am so grateful for her support!”<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The program emphasizes diversity, with 60 percent female participation and 45 percent underrepresented or low-income students. DRIPBL\u2019s methodology prioritizes \u201ccreativity, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving skills,\u201d earning Rachna the Michael A. Cusanovich Arizona Bioscience Educator of the Year award in 2022 and several \u201cTeacher of the Year\u201d awards from multiple different organizations including JSHS and Governor Celebration of the Innovation Awards. She is looking for corporate sponsors to reach out to more underprivileged school students through her non-profit <\/span>STEAMNHS<\/span><\/a> to teach her DRIPBL methodology to teachers and students across the country and worldwide.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reimagining Teacher Development through TeachSavvy<\/span><\/h2>\n

TeachSavvy, her upcoming venture outside of DRIPBL, addresses a fundamental flaw in global education systems: conventional teacher evaluations often lack objectivity, causing anxiety and job insecurity. The platform offers personalized teacher personality profiling, helping educators understand how their traits influence teaching styles, classroom dynamics, and student relationships. This approach improves self-awareness, tailors professional development, and strengthens student engagement. Rachna is looking for Angel investors in this journey to invest in TeachSavvy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Operating in a global EdTech market valued at $142.37 billion in 2023 and projected to grow at 13.4 percent annually through 2030, TeachSavvy\u2019s mission aligns with UNESCO\u2019s 2024 findings that sub-Saharan Africa needs 15 million more teachers by 2030. Rachna\u2019s vision is clear: <\/span>\u201cto support educators via a pioneering platform delivering AI-based professional development to train towards higher efficiency and effectiveness.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Her teaching philosophy, shaped by her journey, drives the platform: <\/span>\u201cI became the person I<\/span><\/i> was looking for in high school.\u201d<\/span><\/i> This ethos underpins TeachSavvy\u2019s commitment to helping teachers harness their strengths, particularly as 76 percent of educators in higher-income countries report burnout and attrition rates have nearly doubled since 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n
