In addition, 10 countries from the Schengen territory did not refuse any Georgians entry during the three months: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Luxemburg, Switzerland, Iceland, Finland, Malta, Slovenia, and Slovakia.
Among the Schengen countries, the most attractive destination for Georgia is Germany. 21,295 people travelled to Germany between August and October. In second place is Italy, where during the same three month period had 16,742 Georgian visitors. In third place, with 13,365 travelers, is Greece.
Italy issued the highest amount of refusals to Georgians crossing the border. Namely, during the 3 months period 101 Georgians were refused entry to Italy. However, percentage wise, Georgians are refused entry to Cyprus and Romania most often. During the reporting period, 1,564 people traveled to Romania from Georgia, 32 of whom were refused entry, i.e. the Romanian government refused entry to the country to 1 in every 49 Georgians. In terms of Cyprus, 2,751 people travelled there from Georgia and 54 were refused entry into the country i.e. 1 in every 51 citizens of Georgia were refused entry into Cyprus.
