Georgia is choosing an international company to proceed with the argument with INTER RAO. The Ministry of Justice has already been given a task to select a corresponding international law firm for arbitrage proceedings or holding negotiations on solving the argument and conclude an agreement on procurement of legal services with it.
The Inter Rao Group filed two complaints against Georgia.
Inter Rao structures – Silk Road Holdings B.V., based in Netherlands and Gardabani Holdings B.V. – hold 75% of Telasi and 100% of Khrami 1 and Khrami 2 and demand from the Georgian party to compensate the loss, incurred due to lari depreciation. Representatives of Inter Rao believe that the decision on tariff correction, made by the Regulatory Commission, was wrong and caused them damage worth of millions of dollars.
