The Georgian Industrial Group affiliated project “CPower”, envisaging construction of TPS in Gardabani, is entering its active phase. The company has already concluded an agreement on guaranteed purchase of energy with energy market operator.
In the Georgian Industrial Group we were told that ESCO will purchase at least 150 MW of energy. In total, the capacity of the power station will make 300 MW.
The company is planning to sell the rest of energy in Turkey. GIG explains that the demand for energy in the commercial sector increases every year, especially in summer, when the hotel business works to its full capacity.
The investment value of the project amounts to 180 mln USD. The TPS will start operating in 2019.
