For the first time in the last 4 years, the profit of the insurance companies increased.
In 2018, Georgian insurance companies received the profit worth of 42.1 Million GEL, which exceeds the last year’s indicator twice in size. For the sake of comparison, in 2017, the net profit of these companies was 20.3 Million GEL, in 2016 – 18.8 Million Gel and in 2015 – 2.6 Million GEL. The 2018 indicator also exceeds the 2014 indicator, when the insurance companies received the profit of a total of 40.3 Million GEL.
In 2018, the attracted insurance premiums from the direct insurance activities, have reached 542.20 Million Gel, which is 100 Million GEL more than the 2017 indicator.
The insurance company assets, as well as the capital, have also grown (743 Million and 221 Million GEL).
