Last year, incomes of auditors and audit firms exceeded 93 mln GEL and made 93 265 145 GEL.
Compared to the previous year, the incomes of auditors and audit firms have increased by 8,7 mln GEL.
In 2016, the biggest share of income – 28 183 264 GEL – was generated through financial reporting audits. Auditors and audit firms earned 25 199 243 GEL providing business consultancy services.
Last year, 74% of the whole income belonged to 10 top audit firms.
According to the Accounting, Reporting and Audit Control Service, in Georgia, 2476 people are being employed by audit firms.
