Information on introduction of blockchain technology in registration of immovable property in Georgia was published in the annual report of international organization Eurogeographics.
The report describes main achievements, novelties, activities and services of member organizations of Eurogeographics in 2016. The project of integration of immovable property records in blockchain was named as a successful project of Georgia.
Georgia is one of the first countries to use the blockchain network for registration of immovable property. Innovative technology of blockchain makes registration transactions accessible, transparent and better protected worldwide.
International organization Eurogeographics was founded in 2001 and represents an association of European national mapping, cadastral and land registry authorities. By now, Eurogeographics connects 63 organizations from 46 countries; among them is Georgia, which became a full member-state of the organization in 2010.
