“All the taxes, except VAT, will be developed using blockchain technologies,” – noted in his speech in Parliament the acting Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze. According to him, in the part of tax administration, the country has a progress in terms of introduction of technologies, however, it drops behind the countries, economies of which are effectively managed by means of digital technologies.
“We should be oriented towards the countries, which managed to conduct a digital revolution. We can talk about the examples of Estonia, Finland and other countries. Therefore, we will start administrating taxes by means of new technologies. All the taxes except VAT will be developed with blockchain technology and accordingly the Ministry of Finance will be assigned a task to make a presentation of pilot project during the next year,” – stated Mamuka Bakhtadze.
