The number of students enrolled in public professional colleges is declining and are growing in private professional colleges.
In particular, according to the Georgian Statistics Service, 8775 students enrolled in public professional colleges and 4356 students in private ones, in 2018.
While the number of students enrolled in public professional colleges was more than 11500 and equaled 4113students in private colleges in 2017.
According to the Reformer`s data, the structure of the most demanded professions in public and private professional colleges is significantly different.
The most popular direction is the faculty of Chef in a public colleges, and nursing in the private.

• IT – 383
• Electricity – 363
• Tutoring – 219
• Sewing – 195
• Accounting – 172
Number of students admitted to private professional colleges in 2018:
• Nurse – 609
• Assistant of pharmacist – 361
• The sailor on deck – 312
• The sailor – 225
• Office Manager – 195
• Cook – 178
The most professional colleges in Georgia are located in Tbilisi – 32; followed by Adjara region with 9 colleges and Imereti region with 8.
