Since the beginning of the year, economies of almost all the countries of the region have grown faster than within the same period last year. The most impressive growth was demonstrated by Armenia, where in January, GDP grew by 10,2%. Armenia is followed by Kazakhstan, with the DGP growth rate of 4,7%.

According to the preliminary data provided by GeoStat, in January-February, average rate of GDP growth in Georgia was 4.9%. Besides, ISET advanced its own forecast of economic growth. Representatives of the organization think that in 2018, in case of ‘worst scenario’, economic growth rate will be 4.1% and with ‘best scenario’, the economy will grow by 5.6%.
