Over the period of 9 months of this year, the regular and charter flights of the airports of Georgia transported 3 199 063 passengers, which is 46.63% (1 017 380 passengers) more than within the same period of last year.

According to the information provided by the Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia, by the number of passengers transported by regular flights Turkish Airlines is the leader. The company holds 11% of total volume. Total number of passengers served by the air company during the first 9 months of the year is 350 706.

By the number of transported passengers, 90% of the market is held by international airlines and 10% is the share of national airlines. Within this period, Georgian Airways served 298 964 passengers and, accordingly, held 10% of total volume.

Number three airline is Wizz Air, which served 240 055 passengers during 9 months. The share of the company in the passenger flow is 8%.

7% of passengers transported by regular flights is the share of Ukrainian Airlines, which served 227 801 passengers during 9 months. 6% of the total volume is held by flydubai, which served 193 405 passengers. 155 697 passengers, transported by Russian Aeroflot within 9 months makes 5% of the total volume.

Ural Airlines served 120 916 passengers in 9 months and accordingly the company’s share in total volume is 4%. Qatar Airlines took 3% of the market by transporting 96 050 passengers. Also 3% was taken by El Al Israel airlines, which transported 93 197 passengers. Pegasus served 97 046 passengers and also took 3% of the total volume of passenger stream.
